A Guest House Douro tem muitos motivos para ser famosa; para citar um deles: foi o primeiro hotel boutique localizado na área do Patrimônio Mundial da Ribeira do Douro - ou como os portugueses dizem, Ribeira. Para muitos, este bairro encantador é a alma da cidade. Um pouco antigo e desgastado, talvez, mas incrivelmente pitoresco e com uma atmosfera invejável.

E aqui, na Guest House Douro, terá uma perspectiva privilegiada desse ambiente tão especial, já que todos os quartos oferecem vistas das caves de vinho, da famosa Ponte Luís I ou da Rua Fonte Taurina, uma das mais antigas do Porto, cujas primeiras referências remontam a 1196.

Basicamente, muitas das atrações que o Porto tem a oferecer, embora nem todas, estão a apenas alguns passos daqui. Além disso, você poderá ser um espectador privilegiado do espetáculo noturno, quando as luzes do passeio ribeirinho se acendem.

The perfect place to stay in Porto. Our hosts Hugo and Luisa were warm and incredibly helpful in every way possible.

Guest House Douro has a charming location being on the river front in the old town. From our room with French doors, we could hear musicians performing at the quay below and watch boats and people drifting by. Breakfast was also lovely.... a sculpted assortment of fresh fruits as a centerpiece, with fresh bread, cheeses and charcuterie, and delicious coffee made to suit. The most charming part of our stay was our hosts, Hugo and Louisa, a just married young couple eager to accommodate and brimming with ideas and enthusiasm for their native Porto. A very memorable 3 nights!

Everything was excellent, could not have asked for more. From the beautiful fresh flowers in the room to the fresh orange juice and exotic fruits for breakfast, it was perfect. The rooms were decorated with impeccable taste and were very comfortable. Our hosts were gracious and very accommodating and saw to our every need. We can’t say enough good things about our stay there.

A true gem in Porto thanks to our wonderful landlords Carmen and Joao our three day stay at Puerto was absolutely magnificent. The accommodation is perfect and filled with many tiny little heart full details. The Riverside view from the room is spectacular and the breakfast cannot be topped. But what really makes this guest house so wonderful is their owners and their heart full warmth in taking every effort to make this stay for their guests a rememberable one. We relied on many little tips from Carmen and Joao and were totally happy especially with dining in the close by Fish restaurant "Terreiro". We wish them both all the best and will for sure be back when we come to Porto again.
