Luxembourg - What to do

Nature Lover: A trip to Luxembourg is not complete without a visit to one of the 5 major nature parks and green areas. You’ll find a variety of landscapes and parks in the Ardennes, lots of green spaces in Guttland, and you must visit the Nature Park of the Upper Sûre, Nature Park Our, and Natur & Geopark Mëllerdall. The latter is a must if you are interested in unique rock formations, as is the Mullerthall region, also known as Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland.

Sports Enthusiast: Luxembourg represents the highest density of ‘Leading Quality Trails - Best of  Europe’ meaning that anybody who enjoys hiking and cycling cannot afford to miss out on a trip here. The ‘Escapardenne - Eisleck Trail & Lee Trail’ and the ‘Mullerthal Trail’ are especially recommended.

History Buff: Everyone knows that Luxembourg is home to some of the world’s most beautiful medieval castles, but there is so much more to discover. Visit the fortifications and old town in Luxembourg city, which have been named a UNESCO world heritage site. Also make sure to visit the Land of the Red Rocks in the south, where you’ll find out all about the industrial past of the Red Rock region and see former steel work sites.

Foodie and Wine Expert: For the Oenophiles among us, the steep vineyards of the Moselle region are unmissable. Here you can partake in sublime wine tastings. Luxembourg city is the foodie capital of Europe, representing the highest density of star restaurants per inhabitant in the world. The Michelin Guide rewarded Luxembourg’s best restaurants with 12 stars!
