In the north of Provence is the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The region enchants with its unique nature and the variety of opportunities for outdoor activities. Beautiful landscapes and impressive hiking routes invite you to enjoy here. The fantastic alpine mountains are also particularly suitable for an active vacation: mountain biking, skiing and even water sports are possible here. A special highlight is also the UNESCO Geopark of Haute-Provence around the Vélodrome of Esclangon. The panorama from there over the Bès valley is breath taking. The most beautiful boutique hotels and bed & breakfasts in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence can be found here.

In the southeast is the department of Alpes-Maritimes which covers a large part of the Côte d'Azur. Here you will also find the famous and fashionable cities of Nice, Cannes or Antibes with their beach promenades and countless luxury hotels. They are also a true culinary highlight. Smaller towns in the area, such as Menton or Grasse, the latter also known as the perfume capital of France, also offer wonderful destinations. Stay in a romantic country hotel in Saint-Paul de Vence or a luxury hotel in Cannes or Nice. In smaller mountain villages Trophée d'Auguste and Tourrettes-sur-Loup with their charming alleys and historic buildings you will find wonderful vacation rentals.

To the west of the Alpes Maritimes is the province of Var. Var is particularly impressive for its varied nature - from picturesque vineyards and pretty provincial villages to long sandy beaches such as the one on the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. In addition, the islands of Porquerolles and Port-Cros offer fantastic excursion destinations. Here we have made a selection of the most beautiful boutique hotels in Saint Tropez and pretty country hotels in Var for you.

Further west, the province of Bouches-du-Rhône opens up. Here you will find a mixture of beautiful nature and cultural heritage. The largest city in the province is Marseille, which is especially known for its art and history. Bouches-du-Rhône offers scenic sandy beaches on steep coasts or the mountain range Les Alpilles. Here, great luxury hotels in Saint Rémy de Provence invite you to relax. Culture lovers also get their money's worth: Aix-en-Provence is home to magnificent baroque palaces and the museum city of Arles is also worth a visit. The Camargue is world famous for the white Camargue horses, which are one of the oldest horse breeds in the world. It also offers an incredible variety of landscapes and authenticity.

In the northwest, the province of Vaucluse follows. The "heart of Provence" invites especially to relax in the mountains or wonderful parks but also to discover historical sites. Avignon seduces visitors with its picturesque charm and especially a visit to the Palais de Papes is a real highlight. In addition, the typical Mediterranean cuisine, which is particularly pronounced here, offers something for everyone.
