La Maison d'Ulysse

The Maison d’Ulysse is a small luxury hotel with Mediterranean charm, just a stone’s throw away from Uzès and the Pont du Gard. The medieval town of Uzès in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France is still like the Provence was many years ago. It is a refreshingly laid back spot where markets are still for locals and not the tourist crowd.
The Maison d’Ulyssewas lovingly restored by Guy and Gauthier who fell in love with the place the minute they saw it. Although the ruin had no roof, the walls were almost intact allowing them to rebuild the farmhouse in its original lines. The result is a perfect mix of modern chic with the historic characteristics of the building.
The Maison d’Ulysse has three double rooms, five suites and an apartment. The nicely decorated rooms are spacious, filled with light and very cosy. The beds are all double beds and some suites have in-room baths, luxuriously equipped. Organic Damana products are at your disposal.
It is hard to find any downsides in this marvellous place, with its charming owners and its not to miss lunch and breakfasts. On-demand lunch is served in a beautiful patio. Traditional local dishes are prepared with organic ingredients.
The surrounding landscapes are beautiful and have many trails that allow you to explore the area. Round-off your well-being stay with a swim in the magnificent swimming pool, before relaxing in the spa area and Turkish bath.
Even when restoring the original gardens care has been taken to provide refuge for birds and butterflies. Luxuriant perennials, shrubs and climbing plants grow side by side with wild flowers.
Please note that in case you wish to go to a nearby village or eat in a restaurant you will need to take the car though.
