Há algo doce na Quinta do Mel – literalmente – o seu nome não surge por acaso.
Este Agro-turismo, é a combinação de um alojamento isolado com a produção de mel e outros produtos tradicionais. Mas qual “cereja no topo do bolo”, tudo isto a 15 minutos a pé de algumas das melhores praias do Algarve. Este é um dos factores que torna a Quinta do Mel tão especial, aparentemente tão longe de tudo mas poder vislumbrar Vilamoura e Albufeira no horizonte.
Os seus 10 quartos, dois dos quais são suites com varanda, possuem o encanto do estilo alentejano nas suas mobílias e tetos de cana e soalho em madeira – Tranquilidade absoluta. Mas para além disso, algo importante a evidenciar é também a casa de chá onde se deliciar com os produtos da casa, tais como compotas, infusões e claro, o seu precioso mel. Estes produtos são de tão boa qualidade “gourmet” que são mesmo encontrados nos mundialmente conhecidos Harrods of London e El Corte Inglês.
Tendo em conta a qualidade dos produtos, o pequeno-almoço não podia deixar de ser espectacular, preparando-o para o passeio agradável de 15 minutos até a afamada praia da Falésia.

Wonderful and unique stay

The quinta is a very unique stay in a so relaxing surroundings, This old building honey farm was renovated to become great boutique hotel within agriculture landscape. It was so relaxing to see the green fields around us from our terrace. Staff was great and the room is big very well designed bet with a disadvantage of not having a table and with only 1 chair. The bathroom has a nice skylight window and had an underfloor heating which worked only during the late night, Breakfast was inside the attached restaurant and was good but nothing was asked by us, it was brought to the table without an expected explanation of what is about to come, if we want coffee or any kind of egg. Honestly, it was strange. We liked our stay and we recommend the place.

Verbrachte 4 Tage in der Quinta do Mel, die zwar in einem der absoluten Touristenhochburgen der Algarve liegt, selbst aber mitten in einem 40ha großen Agrarland. Das sorgt nicht nur für absolute Ruhe, sondern auch für gutes und gesundes Essen. Coronabedingt war es wahrscheinlich noch ruhiger als sonst, sodass ich schon fast traurig war, meine 10-tägige Hotelhopping-Tour Rund um Faro nach 4 Tagen fortsetzen zu müssen. Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal.

Uma experiência de sonho. Adoramos passar aqui um fim de semana. Fica muito perto da praia mas longe das multidões e no meio do campo. Vale muito a pena. Vamos regressar sem duvida.

Very friendly and helpfull staff! Nice house in a beautiful setting! Good teas and food! We really enjoyed our stay at Quinta do Mel very much! (We did several nice walks in the nature arround the house and to the fantastic beach "Praia Falésia" - walking distance circa 20 minutes)

Small, country B&B with a restaurant attached. Beautifully set among rosemary and other delicious smelling herbs. Very clean comfortable bedrooms. Friendly, helpful staff.

Als Abschluss unserer Portugal Reise hatten wir 4 Nächte in der Quinta gebucht um noch schöne Badetage zu verbringen. Nicht nur der tolle Sandstrand an dem mit dem Auto nur 10 Minuten entfernten Praia dos Tomates hat sich gelohnt sondern auch die Auswahl der Quinta do Mel als Unterkunft an der Algarve. Inmitten der Hotelburgen rund um Albufeira und Olhos d'Agua ist die Quinta eine Insel inmitten von Orangen- und Olivenhainen, abseits der Touristenmenge. Das Frühstück wird serviert und ist eine schöne Abwechslung zu den sonst üblichen Büffets, überzeugte mit frischen Pancakes, selbstgemachter Marmelade und richtigem Delta Kaffee aus der Maschine oder Tee aus eigenem Betrieb. Frisch gepresster Orangensaft und Ei in gewünschter Form gehörte auch zum morgendlichen Frühstück auf der gemütlichen Terrasse mit herrlichem Ausblick über die Plantagen oder die in der Nähe weidenden Schafherden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Quinta ist idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausfüge in die nähere Umgebung (z.B. Loule oder Tamira), kombiniert mit kurzen Wegen zum Strand in einer sehr gepflegten und tollen Agrotourismus Unterkunft. Jederzeit wieder !

Hotel is nice, very well located near beautiful beaches and restaurants. Nice breakfast, room decoration is quite old fashioned. Definitely not suitable for families with small children, though.
