The family-run Ottmanngut Suite and Breakfast in South Tyrol is not a hotel in the usual sense. It was revived after a comprehensive renovation, which was carried out by the family. As a result, the Ottmanngut presents itself as a place with a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, where you never get the feeling of being an anonymous hotel guest, but rather visiting a home - with hosts who personally inquire about your well-being and wishes.

Here is where the splendor of yesterday meets the elegance of today. This country house is located close to the center of Merano and was built with architectural sensitivity: everything is decorated in true Merano style. All 11 rooms are individually designed and no two are alike. Because of the different room types, the accommodation is suitable for couples, families or single travelers. You are also welcome to bring your pet.

Breakfast at the Ottmanngut is also something very special: it is served at your table as a 3-course menu that changes daily, so you don't have to worry about anything and can taste the delicious seasonal and regional dishes at your leisure. Perfect for gourmets curious to try something new every day.

Nature essentially shapes the style and character of the Ottmanngut. The garden of the hotel can almost be called, so to speak, because its Mediterranean flora of old palms, meter-high cypresses, oleanders and citrus fruits have always invited the guests to relax, linger and eat. In the warm season, you can have breakfast here and also a snack during the day and evening. Apart from that: lie down on the lawn and enjoy the impressive view of the Alps. The property also includes its own vineyard and an orangery, where readings and musical evenings are held in the summer.

The location of the accommodation is excellent, as it is right in the center of Merano near the Tappeiner Promenade. The Jewish Museum, the Women's Museum as well as the Merano Provincial Castle or the Laubengasse are other attractions worth seeing in the region. Also, take a trip to the Merano thermal baths and the Gilfpromenade. Take a break to visit the hot springs in the area or get some fresh air while hiking or biking on the nearby trails.
