White River Cottages

The charming property is located in the attractive southeast of the island and behind "White River Cottage" there hides the small charming resort of owner Vangelis Mavrakis, who emerged the former ruins to original country houses. A quiet and peaceful place it is, which seems ideal for everyone, who is looking for an individual holiday away from the crowds and doesn’t want "all-inclusive tourism". The hotel also offers tranquility and nature, so that you can enjoy a relaxed stay in Greece. A 800-meter-long narrow road leads right into the small tourist village of Makrigialos away from the sandy beach, past densely forested olive plantations and land, in the beautiful valley, where the hotel is located. There are free parking spaces on two levels.
The small complex with only 13 stone houses is picturesque and has been built into the hillside of the valley. Each cottage is individual "shaped" and every house looks different. It can be chosen between different room-sizes (from studios for two persons to larger houses for four persons).
All accommodations are traditionally whitewashed inside and are equipped with charming details such as the original wooden beams, the stone floors and there is a fully equipped kitchenette for self-catering, with a fridge, toaster, kettle, oven, two hot plates, crockery and other common household objects. Each house has an individually deployable air conditioning and all properties have a great sea view. The whole complex also offers a free Wi-Fi connection. The comfortable, simple bathrooms have a hairdryer, bed linen and towels. Room service is done every three days in the apartments and every four days in the rooms.
In nearby Makrigialos you can find several supermarkets, but also the reception offers fresh local products, such as eggs, wine, honey and olive oil. The friendly reception staff is happy to help you and to give you advice for excursions and activities. In Makrigialos, with its small fishing port, there is also a wide range of taverns, bakeries, souvenir and jewelry shops. The lovely narrow sandy beach of Makrigialos falls very gently into the crystal clear often glassy sea from, and is thus ideal for children or non-swimmers.
