Finca Cortesin

Sun, sea, sierras – and golf!
This marvellous “finca” satisfies on many different levels, class, natural beauty, atmosphere, cuisine, modernity and even, paradoxically, history. Many argue it is the last great property available in the Mediterranean.
That may be a touch hyperbole (we’ve seen many) but it emphasises the idea that this is a truly special place. After all, it is idyllically set within 150 acres of hills and by the sea right in the heart of the Costa del Sol, between Marbella and Sotogrande. It is a place where nature gently vanishes into the deep blue sea - a private community that offers members a unique personal atmosphere.
It also includes a 67 room hotel (61 of which are suites) and it is no surprise that the Conde Naste included the Finca Cortesin in its Hot List. The design is pure Andalusia and that means a touch of the Moorish which in this case is blended with cutting edge design, making for an exotic architecture that is both alluring and surprisingly cosy, notwithstanding many cutting edge technologies and facilities at the disposal of guests.
Unlike many other places the top golf course, which just happens to be considered one of Spain’s best, has an atmosphere that is never stifling or stuffy. It remains a young place at heart.
