El Jardín de Carrejo

Built in the 19th century, this peaceful country house was opened up its doors to visitors in 1999 and it fully lives up to its name (Jardin being Spanish for garden). Firstly, the attractive and comfortable bedrooms, which include two junior suites, open up to some 30,000 square metres of amazing garden full of centuries old trees, which is even crossed by a river. The garden is a central part of the hotel and the perfect place to seek tranquillity whilst you walk amongst the 85 different tree species. There are 12 rooms in total: 8 double, 2 junior suites and 2 suites in the garden. Secondly, the hotel is located between the pretty seaside towns of Santillana del Mar and San Vicente de la Barquera. Decoration and furniture has been specially designed for the hotel and is made from local wood. Furthermore, El Jardín de Carrejo is close by to the Saja-Nansa Natural Park, fine beaches and the villages of Comillas and Cobreces.
