Complejo Cuevas Otto

Cuevas de Otto are traditional houses which have been dug out of the mountain to form caves. They used to be a gypsy's house and they are much more comfortable and cosy than you might think. One characteristic is that they maintain a constant temperature in both winter and summer between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius.

In this truly unique accommodation that has been decorated with care, it is evident that the owners are concerned about ensuring that their guests have a memorable stay.  There are two caves that can accommodate two couples, two more for four, and two caves that can accommodate six people. It consists of six different units, all different, with a shared area featuring a beautiful swimming pool, hammocks, and Balinese beds.

Due to the nature of the caves, the Wi-Fi network may be weaker in the rooms. This is not the case in the living room, kitchen, or terrace. All of the kitchens are well equipped for preparing delicacies, and are open to the living room, which contains a sofa and a television. There is a private terrace with a view of the mountains in each apartment.

The nearest town is Baza, which is located eight kilometers away. The town is located in the northeast of the province of Granada, just a few kilometers away from the Sierra de Baza Natural Park. The architectural and cultural heritage of the town has been well preserved. In 2009, it was awarded the National Architecture Prize for Intervention in the Spanish Architectural Heritage. Its Arab baths dating back to the Almohad period (13th century) are among its oldest legacies.

Tarifa is 27 km away, while Guadix is 44 km away. Las Cuevas is located 80 kilometers from Almeria Airport.

There is the option of heating the caves with a wood-burning stove and air conditioning, although this is not really necessary.

The place is suitable for children and pets are welcome. It is pertinent to note that the caves of 6 only have one bathroom.
