Mas Carreras with over 168 years of history, it was home of landowners with a large expanse of land. Located in a superb setting between the picturesque city of Girona (15 minute drive) and Baix Emporda and only 20 km from the Costa Brava. The Baix Emporda countryside is the perfect place to go hiking and cycling and Mas Carreras can arrange bicycle rental upon request.

Today the Masia has an area of 25,000 m2 completely flat, which we have designated 5000m2 for a garden and pool area. Access to Mas Carreras is fully paved, just 300 meters from the national highway and well connected.
All 11 rooms are air-conditioned and feature exposed stone walls and vintage details and as their website implies, this is the perfect place to “dream….relax and enjoy”.

Guests are only a 20 minute drive away from the famous restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, considered to be one of the best in the world.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights and found it to be exactly what we needed - we were looking for peace and quiet to catch up wiht some friends. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bedrooms were charming. Breakfast was tasty and generous. All good!

Hotel excelente, tanto la habitación como las zonas comunes están perfectamente equipadas y decoradas con muy buen gusto. El personal muy amable y atento a todas nuestras necesidades. El desayuno completo y muy agradable en el porche con un relajante olor a lavanda y el resto de vegetación. La piscina muy limpia y equipada. Mas Carreras 1846 perfecto para el relax. La pena es el entorno, los pueblos cercanos no tienen ningún atractivo, pero el hotel, al estar entre plantaciones enormes de frutales y otros cultivos, resulta tranquilo y silencioso, además con la misma vegetación que tiene la instalación, parece quedar aislado. Muy recomendable.

Dear Mas Carreras, Thank you so much for the absolutely beautiful stay! Even though it was a short stay it was wonderful. The lovely room, the beautiful garden and the salt water swimming pool! It felt like everything was done with 100% attention. We hope to come back!
