Yorkshire

Yorkshire is the biggest county in the whole of England and so is home to the most culture and history. It is also home to 2 natural parks: the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. With a wide selection of castles, gardens, stately homes and museums to visit, there'd never be a boring moment in the county often referred to as 'God's own country'.

Yorkshire - What to do

From tranquil hikes in the Yorkshire Dales to terrifying ghost tours in York, you'll never be bored in Yorkshire. There is an abundance of history, in the form of beautiful stately homes, such as Castle Howard, picturesque ruined abbeys, such as Whitby Abbey, castles, breweries, armouries, museums... the list is endless. Whatever your interests, there'll be something in Yorkshire.

Yorkshire - Gastronomy

Home to the famous Yorkshire pudding, the best roast dinners will be found here. The British Sunday roast, consisting of roasted meat, potatoes, vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, and gravy, is a staple and must try when in England. The York Roast Co in York has taken this concept to a new level by creating the 'Yorky Pud', a roast dinner wrapped in a Yorkshire pudding.

If you want to experience 'high tea' then Betty's Tea Rooms are the only place to do so. With tea rooms in York, Northallerton, and Harrogate, this provides an excuse to branch out and find the perfect little cakes for you.
