Townhouse Weisses Kreuz. Sophisticated living in tune with history

The elaborate and painstaking renovation and the objective of supreme living comfort combine to form a unique property in Salzburg’s old town. Numerous steps have been taken behind the scenes to ensure the house retains its value and quality for the centuries to come. For example, the old ceilings were carefully uncovered and concrete ceilings superimposed in order to improve the acoustic and fire insulation. All the newly acquired mature wooden doors have also been equipped with soundproofing. The sustainable design is evident both inside and outside the building. Wherever possible, the existing fabric of the building was left alone and, if necessary, supplemented with stone and mature wood. Traditional lime-plaster with natural pigments has been used for the entire house, inside and out. In addition to ensuring a healthy and natural room climate, these durable surfaces are exquisitely unique due to the imperfections of the craft and they become even more beautiful as they age.

The Salzburg property has five floors with a total area of 1,000 m2. The lower four floors consist of a total of 6 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living and working areas with fireplaces, 2 dining areas and a spa. The top floor is a self-contained suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living area and pantry with a view of the castle and cathedral. The garden of almost 1,100 sq. ft at the foot of the Festungsberg is a rarity in this part of the city. The estate is fully equipped with bed linen, bathroom fittings, towels, bathrobes, bathmats and slippers, tableware, iPads in all bathrooms, and TV in all bedrooms. All floors are serviced by an elevator which is accessible by wheelchair.
